What is an ambassador

CASA Ambassadors play a crucial role in raising awareness about CASA of Central Virginia’s mission by promoting volunteer opportunities and spreading the word about our work within their local communities.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Obtain permission to display, place, and collect CASA Yard Signs within strategic locations within your designated locality during recruitment season

  • Help hang posters and distribute brochures within high-traffic areas, once permission is obtained by the business, club or church.

  • Identify and connect with local churches, civic clubs, community organizations and other groups to build relationships and share information about CASA

  • Serve as a community representatice for CASA

  • Collaborate with CASA Staff to coordinate promotional efforts and track outreach

  • Attend occasional CASA events or community gatherings to support recruitment and awareness initiatives.

qualifications

  • Passionate about advocating for children and supporting CASA’s mission.

  • Comfortable engaging with community members and organizations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Familiarity with your local community and its resources.

time commitment

  • Flexible schedule, approximately 2-4 hours per month.

  • Commitment to serve as an Ambassador for at least one year.
