Why April?

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and take action to protect vulnerable children in our community. Our Awareness Auction in April not only raises critical funds to support trained advocates for children who have experienced abuse or neglect but also shines a light on the urgent need for community involvement. By participating in the auction, you help ensure that every child has a voice in court and the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can break the cycle of abuse and build a brighter future for children.

1. How do I participate in the auction?
To join the fun, simply create an account on 32Auctions and start bidding when the auction opens on April 15th!
2. Is there a fee to register?
No - Registering and browsing auction items is completely free. You only pay if you win an item.
3. Can I bid from my phone?
Absolutely! 32Auctions is mobile-friendly, making it easy to bid anytime, anywhere.
4. How will I know if I’ve been outbid?
You’ll receive email notifications when someone outbids you, so you can jump back in and stay competitive. You can also set a proxy bid, which allows you to set the maximum price you are willing to pay. Then 32Auctions will bid for you if you get outbid - up to the maximum you set.
5. Is there extended bidding?
To keep things fair and exciting, our auction uses Extended Bidding. Here’s how it works: if someone places a bid within the last 3 minutes of an item’s scheduled closing time, the auction for that item will automatically extend by 3 more minutes. This gives others a chance to respond—kind of like a final call! The process continues until no new bids are placed for a full 3-minute window, up to a maximum extension of 30 minutes. So keep an eye on your favorite items as the auction wraps up!
1. How do I pay if I win an item?
After the auction closes, you’ll receive an email with instructions to complete your payment directly through 32Auctions. Major credit cards are accepted.
2. What if I change my mind after winning?
All bids are final, and payments are non-refundable. Remember, every bid supports CASA’s mission!
1. How do I get my item if I win?
Winners can pick up their items at our Lynchburg office during business hours from Tuesday, May 5 to Friday, May 8th. Special arrangements can be made if necessary.
2. Do you offer shipping?
Some items may be eligible for shipping at the winner’s expense. Please email us at info@cvcasa.org prior to bidding.
