After earning a degree in clinical psychology and child development, Amy has worked with children and families throughout her career. She has been a Behavior Specialist on a child/adolescent team, a Pre-school classroom teacher, and an online ESL teacher. Amy attended an information session after seeing a CASA FaceBook ad in 2018. She completed the training and was inducted in November 2018, accepting her first case that same night. Amy enjoyed working with the children, families, and professionals in her cases. She was able to see, first-hand, the difference advocacy can make in the lives of children. When the opportunity arose in March 2021, Amy was excited to join the CASA staff as an Advocate Manager serving Lynchburg and Amherst. She is happy to be part of an organization that works toward the best interests of children and families in her local community.
Amy and her husband have three children and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and traveling.
