Lorna grew-up in Lynchburg, and has lived in the Forest area of Bedford County for over thirty years. She has been married to her wonderful husband Ricky, since 1981. They share their home with their redbone hound Annie. Annie showed-up at their back door, during the weekend of their 29th wedding anniversary, and made herself at home. Before beginning her work on staff at CASA of Central Virginia, Lorna worked in sales for twenty-three years, and served as a CASA volunteer for ten years. She enjoyed her CASA volunteer role so much, that when an advocate manager position became available, and she was asked to apply, she was excited and honored about the opportunity. She began serving as the CASA advocate manager for Lynchburg in 2004. Two years later she became the Associate Director. Lorna has been a member of the Coalition Against Domestic Violence for the 24th Judicial District, and has served as the secretary. Lorna also serves on the Lynchburg Best Practice Court Team. Lorna does not have a lot of spare time, but when she does, she enjoys being outdoors, and especially vegetable and flower gardening.
